Our Environmental Approach
Made With More Consideration.
Lévietate creates artist-designed tarot decks, oracle cards and intentional objects with a focus on durability, thoughtful material choices and reduced-waste production wherever our manufacturing process allows.
Progress Over Perfection
Thoughtful production begins with honest choices.
No manufactured object is without impact. Our responsibility is to question unnecessary waste, improve the materials we use and create work intended to remain meaningful long after it arrives.
Materials
Paper First
Our card decks and printed components are predominantly paper-based. We favour sturdy materials selected for repeated use, helping each deck remain part of a reader’s practice rather than becoming a short-lived object.
Packaging
Less Plastic, More Purpose
We prioritize recyclable paper packaging and reduce unnecessary plastic wherever manufacturing, protection and product safety allow. Packaging is designed to protect the work without overwhelming it.
Longevity
Designed to Be Kept
The most sustainable object is often one that continues to be used. We create collectible decks and ritual tools with lasting visual, tactile and emotional value—not disposable trend cycles.
Production
Intentional Quantities
As an independent studio, we make production decisions carefully. Quantities are planned around genuine demand so we can avoid unnecessary excess while keeping our collections available.
Fulfilment
Practical Shipping Choices
Orders are packed with protection and efficiency in mind. We reuse suitable packing materials when possible and avoid excessive presentation layers that add volume without adding value.
Our Commitment
Keep Improving
Better materials and processes continue to evolve. We review new packaging options, manufacturing methods and waste-reduction opportunities as they become practical for our products.
The Standard We Use
Four questions behind every object.
Does it need to exist?
Every collection should have a clear creative purpose rather than simply adding another object to the world.
Will it be used and kept?
Function, durability and emotional resonance matter as much as visual presentation.
Can anything unnecessary be removed?
We consider excess packaging, redundant components and avoidable layers throughout development.
Can the next edition be better?
Sustainability is an ongoing practice. New production runs give us opportunities to reconsider materials and improve.
A Considered Life Cycle
From concept to collection.
Environmental thinking is most effective when it begins before production—not after the product has already been made.
Develop with intention
Original concepts are refined before entering production.
Select for longevity
Materials are chosen to balance tactility, use and durability.
Produce deliberately
Quantities are based on realistic collection demand.
Pack with restraint
Orders are protected without unnecessary presentation waste.
Remain in use
Each object is designed to be revisited, displayed and kept.
A Note on Transparency
We do not claim to be impact-free.
Specialty card production can involve inks, coatings, adhesives, foils and protective components that are not always recyclable in every municipality. Available processes also differ between manufacturers and individual editions.
Rather than presenting sustainability as a finished achievement, we treat it as a working standard: reduce what is unnecessary, choose better options where they are available and remain honest about where improvement is still needed.
Extend the Life of Your Collection
Care is part of sustainability.
Store with intention
Keep decks dry and away from prolonged direct sunlight.
Use clean, dry hands
This helps preserve card surfaces and edges through regular use.
Keep the original box
Packaging protects the collection and reduces the need for replacements.
Pass it forward
A deck no longer used can be gifted, traded or resold.
