What is a Sistrum?
A sistrum is an ancient Egyptian musical instrument, was far more than just a noisemaker—it was a sacred tool of the gods. Often associated with the goddesses Hathor, Isis, and Bastet, the sistrum was believed to channel divine energy, ward off evil, and invoke blessings. Its distinctive shape—a looped frame with metal rods that jingle when shaken—symbolized the eternal cycle of life, fertility, and cosmic balance.
Today, the sistrum is not only a relic of history but also a powerful metaphysical charm. Wearing a sistrum amulet connects the wearer to its ancient spiritual legacy, offering protection, joy, and alignment with higher energies.
Our Offering:
We are offering three types: ✸ The Goddess Hathor as a Cow, ✸ The Goddess Hathor with a Crown and just ✸ Hathor. These items are rare and unique, they are not mass produced and cannot be found anywhere else except directly from Egypt. They are meant to be worn on a necklace.
This is a pre-order - the sistrum will be shipped out in May 2025
Who is Hathor?
Hathor (meaning "House of Horus") was one of the most revered goddesses in ancient Egypt. She was considered the daughter of Ra, the sun god, and sometimes the mother or consort of Horus, the sky god. Her worship dates back to the Old Kingdom (c. 2613–2181 BCE), and her influence extended beyond Egypt into Nubia and even the Levant.
Unlike many deities who had strict or fearsome roles, Hathor was gentle, joyful, and accessible—a goddess who celebrated life’s pleasures while also guiding souls in the afterlife.
Hathor was the living expression of ✸ Divine Feminine Energy – She nurtured, loved, and protected ✸ Joy & Celebration – Music, dance, and festivals were sacred to her ✸ Cosmic Motherhood – She was the celestial nurse, feeding pharaohs with her milk ✸ Sacred Sensuality – Love, beauty, and fertility were her blessings.
She was the called "The Golden One," a title reflecting her radiant, life-giving energy.
"She is the honey in the ritual, the laugh during the prayer, the gold in the dark soil."
